A teenage girl killed in a speedboat crash has been named as Emily Lewis.
Emily, 15, was fatally injured when the Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) she was riding in with her family crashed into a buoy near Southampton on Saturday.
The speedboat accident took place in a busy waterway during choppy conditions – with two others suffering injuries when they were thrown from the boat.
Family of tragic teenager Emily have paid tribute to her following her death – with her father, Simon Lewis, sharing a heartbreaking update online.
Mr Lewis had been on board the boat with Emily, his wife Nikki and Emily's older sister Amy, 19, at the time of the accident.
Sharing the devastating news on Sunday, he wrote on Facebook: "Nikki and I need to share some very tragic news today. Our beautiful daughter Emily passed away yesterday.
"We were all involved in a boating accident in the Solent and Em suffered serious trauma and died not long after we got to hospital.
"Nikki and Amy suffered broken arms and are doing as well as expected.

“I have pain but no breaks but the emotional pain far (outweighs) the physical.
"We are all in shock that our beautiful daughter and sister is no longer with us and words just don't seem to be available to express our deep sense of loss."
A neighbour close to the family has shared her own heartache as the local community where the family live in Park Gate, near Southampton, process the news.
The neighbour said: "They are a delightful family and Emily was a lovely girl. It's just so very, very sad. My heart goes out to them."
A local sailor witnessed the aftermath of the accident and gave a first hand account to The Sun amid reports as many as seven were injured in the incident.
He said: "A man came in with a broken arm and a mother and daughter wrapped in silver, hypothermia blankets who were clearly in shock.
"Another man had a bandaged hand which was bleeding and there was a female – who looked like an adult – who was laid out on a stretcher unconscious.”
“If they were on a RIB which hit a navigation buoy out there it would explain why they were in such a bad way.”
