Denver weather: Warm and sunny Christmas, but is there snow ahead? – The Denver Post

There will be no white Christmas in Denver this year, but it will be warm and sunny through the holiday.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Thursday’s high will be 50 degrees under sunny skies. A south wind will shift to the northwest and become stronger — gusting to 15 mph — as the day moves along. It will remain clear as the winds die down overnight, and the low will drop to 25 degrees for Christmas Eve.

It will get even warmer for Christmas on Friday with a high of 59 degrees. The clear day should be pristine with little wind and no precipitation expected. It will remain clear into the evening when temperatures dip down to 27 degrees.

Saturday should be more of the same, with a lot of sun and temperatures in the high 50s. Saturday night is the next chance for snow at 20% late into the evening. More snow could be on the way late Sunday into Monday. The storms expected over the weekend will bring little accumulation to the city, though the mountains will be impacted.
