Drug cartel thugs behead captive in broad daylight in chilling ISIS-style clip

A contingent of armed hitmen from the Cartel del Noreste (CDN) have beheaded a captive in a chilling ISIS-style clip posted onto social media.

The video, which was shot in broad daylight, sees the prisoner kneeling in front of a group of masked thugs wearing military gear.

He is asked a series of questions which are barked at him, by who appears to be the leader of his captors, before one of the group moves in to carry out the execution.

The interrogation and subsequent killing are said to have taken place in the Mexican state of Coahuila.

According to a translation from Borderland Beat, when quizzed by the sicario, the captive revealed he was a 21-year-old man called Jose Torres Lara from Monclova, Coahuila.

When asked why he was detained he says he was found to have a link with a commander from the GATE (Special Weapons and Tactics Group), who is known has El Mayor.

When prompted the captive goes on to reveal that El Mayor distributes crystal meth in the community of Luchana, Coahuila.

Towards the end of the questioning the sicario says: "Is there something that you’d like those pieces of s**t to know?"

His captor says: "Don’t get mixed up with those corrupt pieces of s**t, who are only collecting intel the way they did it with me."

At which point the group leader shouts: "We are the absolute Operativa Coahuila," which is echoed by all the gunmen.

He follows it up by shouting: "We are the f***ing absolute Northeast Cartel," which is also repeated by his fellow members.

At this point one of the captors moves in to grab the prisoner, and appears to start attacking his neck with an object while the prisoner starts to scream, before the video abruptly ends.
