Man pleads guilty to freezing leg of ‘eunuch maker’ castration gang ringleader

A man has admitted in court to freezing the leg of the ringleader of a bizarre “eunuch maker” website who carried out and broadcast castrations, causing him to lose it.

Jacob Crimi-Appleby, a 22-year-old from Epsom in Surrey, has admitted to GBH with intent to 45-year-old ringleader Marius Gustavson in 2019.

The alleged gang leader is accused of leading an extreme body modification operation, and has denied causing GBH with intent to three men between 2018 and 2019.

Gustavson, from Haringey in north London, stands accused of leading a “eunuch maker” subscription site, where people paid to watch and have their own penises and testicles removed in sick ceremonies, alongside several people who assisted him,the BBC reports.

The ring has been linked to the “nullo” subculture, short for genital nullification, which sees twisted blokes having their penis and testicles removed for their own enjoyment, London’s Old Bailey was told.

Two other men previously admitted causing GBH with intent in April for removing other body parts belonging to Gustavson, including his penis.

Damien Byrnes, 35, of Tottenham in north London, admitted removing Gustavson's penis in 2017, while Nathan Arnold, a 48-year-old nurse from Kensington admitted to partially removing Mr Gustavson's nipple.

Gustavson’s alleged "right-hand man", Peter Wates, 66, from Croydon also previously admitted in April conspiracy to cause GBH between 2016 and 2022.

He was said to have had "a role as a surgeon in a very large number of procedures".

Four more men are accused of being involved.

Judge Mark Lucraft KC at the Old Bailey has set a provisional trial of up to eight weeks at the Old Bailey that will start on March 4 next year.
